Thanks….Keith….I Think….

July 6, 2007

I’m very concerned about the state of television journalism.

FOX News has shown a conservative balance for some time, and MSNBC goes the opposite. People are saying that Keith Olbermann’s call to imbeach Bush was “brave,” but I say its really sad that these “journalists” express their opinion.

Keith, FOX, and every other network: I want the TRUTH. I don’t care what you think.

This is why Gen Y gets their news from the Internet…

Think You’re Special?

July 5, 2007

The Wall Street Journal has an article blaming poor little Mr. Rogers for this generation thinking they are “entitled” and “special.”

CNN/YouTube Debates: Will You Tube?

July 2, 2007

The CNN/YouTube debtes sounds like an old network trying new tricks….but will it work?

I wonder if CNN will choose puff-questions instead of real tough ones, and whether the CNN/YouTube is just a way for CNN to stay relevant. It airs July 23….we’ll see.

Clickty Click: NYT Addition

The New York Times has had a number of young-american type articles that are worth a read:

Paris Hilton Out of Jail

June 7, 2007

Perezhilton.com is reporting that Paris Hilton was released from jail already — just three days after entering the slammer. That sucks!

YES! Free Access

May 31, 2007

Remember when I complained about the New York Times making us pay for editorials on recent college graduates?

Well according to consumerist.com, you can get free access to TimesSelect stuff by using your college email.

Sweet!

Cindy Sheehan Gives Up the Fight

May 28, 2007

Sad news, Cindy Sheehan said she is giving up her anti-war protests.

She said she was tired of fighting against a war that was “carved in immovable, unbendable and rigidly mendacious marble.” So true.

A lot of people ask why generation Y is not more vocal about the war, and why there aren’t more protests staged by us. I think this is why. No matter how hard you fight these days, it seems like change is not possible.

The best thing to do is vote, and elect those who will make the world better.

Thoughts on Lindsay

May 28, 2007

So Lindsay Lohan got busted for a DUI.

I hope all these girls: Paris Hilton, Nicole Richie, and Lohan go to jail. Thirty days of no drugs will be amazing for them. One day they’re going to kill someone or themselves.

Also, get a fucking cheaffeur.

Poor

May 24, 2007

My parents always remind me at my age they had already left their country with no money, and already saved a bundle.

I get it parents! But now its different.

If I leave on my own now, I am not leaving with nothing. I’m leaving with NEGATIVE $20,000, and other people my age are in the same boat.

This article in this weeks USA TODAY, found that today, people in their 30′s are worth about $200,000 less than those in their 50′s and 60′s. The gap keeps widening, and I think I’ll be poor forever.

iPhone — Why the Buzz?

May 22, 2007

Everyone is so excited about Apple’s iPhone release next month.

I don’t get it.

I have owned an ipod mini and a video ipod and none of them have lasted more than a year. The battery always dies way before the 12 months. Then, as long as you have an insurance plan, Apple gives you a refurbished ipod that lasts maybe four-six months.

I don’t understand why anyone would pay $500 dollars for an iphone. How is this thing going to play music, hold your contacts, play movies, and google map and still have enough battery life to last through a five minute conversation.

That shit is not going to work. Trust me. I give it four months.
